Relocation, Relocation, Relocation

The time at our nice Islington office is coming to end. By November we have to be out. As the organisation was so used to Islington our office hunt had to be local. Due to the Chief's infinite ignorance we managed to find one, in the Angel. My God the outcome is depressing. The 'new' office is a maze of corridors, no natural light and less office space. The only winners in this relocation is the company's finances as rent is 'very' affordable. Judging by the photo, I think I'd better update my CV and start relocating myself.

The losing streak continues.....

Tooting Bec Rovers suffered our third defeat in the row. We lost to Kew Antigua 4-1. Again we took the lead first. It was my first match for the Rovers and it showed. Joining the league has really exposed our lack of fitness. After 90 minutes I was absolutely exhausted. Like the team I was chasing shadows. A really disappointing performance and next our match doesn't bode well as many of our regular players will be away and the team we will be playing is one of the 'better' teams of the league. Come on the Rovers!

Tooting Bec Rovers

The new Sunday League season has begun. This is our first adventure into the world of competitive Sunday League football. After more than 8 years playing football amongst ourselves meeting up every Sunday at Shirley and Tooting Bec Common, it was suggested we were good enough to play in a league. After months of planning and practising we played our first game, on my birthday! Hence the reason I missed it. The team is called Tooting Bec Rovers and we play in the Sportsmans Senior Sunday Football League Divsion 5. We could not have a more spectular start. We lost 4-3 from a 3-1 lead. Our main striker Pete getting a hattrick. Although we are disappointed there were encouraging signs that we as a team will improve. COME ON THE ROVERS!!!
