Regrets we had a few

On Sunday, we did our bit for charidee by entering a six-a-side football tournament at Tooting & Mitcham FC's ground. The good cause was for Children with Leukaemia (http://www.trnc-kids-com.com/home.htm). Hopefully a lot of money was raised. Confidence was pretty high but unfortunately we fell on stoney ground. Out of the five matches we played we lost 3 matches and drew 2. Our team name also didn't help proceedings, we played teams like Lynch Mob, 3 Lions and Fulham. Proper football names but we was called Boo Boo FC. Anyway, it was good experience and we will be ready and prepared for the next tournament. Come on Boo Boo!!!

Mauritian Invasion

It's happened at last, my old friend has finally tied the knot. Congratulations to Roy & Anna!!!
The civil reception took place at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond. The setting was very nice and the weather held up too. For the day Richmond was invaded by Mauritians and what a show they put up. They know how to party!! Yours truly done a reading, just after everything was signed, sealed and delivered, only to be disturbed by British Airways flying overhead. Most of the guest afterwards were joking with me to repeat the reading as they couldn't hear me. Overall a very good night and once again - Congratulations!!!

Long Weekend in Scotland 2

During our stay in Scotland, we decided to take a day trip Glasgow. 1990 European City of Culture??????? You're having a laugh!!!! The place is a dump!!!

Long Weekend in Scotland

The Missus and I took a well deserved break to Scotland. A first in many ways:- first time using London City Airport and the first time we visited Scotland. We prayed for good weather and we got it!!! Our first stop was Edinburgh. We booked into the Swallow Greens Hotel in Haymarket, Edinburgh. Despite a good size room, the customer service was pretty abysmal. I have seen more life in a graveyard than with the receptionist. Also on the second night we had no water which was a bit of a downer. Swallow Greens Hotel, NEVER AGAIN!!! Despite the shitty accomodation we absolutely love Edinburgh. The architecture, the natural setting of Edinburgh, friendly people and the gale force wind made it a memorable stay. We will be coming back!!!
